Well, I sat here in my humble abode, ill as they come. It's unfortunate, so close to Christmas but I blame my Mum entirely, because she forced me into going all the way to West Denton with her to go to Morrisons and it was so busy. I nearly fainted in the juice aisle which is embarrassing enough but then when I did actually pass out in the yoghurt aisle, it was even worse.
There was so many people in there, I tell you, Mothers don't go to Iceland, they go to Morrisons, take it from me. What can you do?
Also, I am annoyed at Google. I image-searched for JB Gill and I ended up with a picture of Siva Kaneswaran. I mean, I like a bit of Siva as much as the next girl but I did hope to find JB not him!

Four days.
It's four days until Christmas! I am right in the festive mood now, which I wasn't before, which I am hoping has something to do with my wonderful idea of painting my nails red and reading The Gift by Cecelia Ahern. I made a playlist too, on my iTunes, full of the songs that remind me of Christmas. Slowly but surely it's working.
I've not done much today again, I only went out to see Megan because her family are whisking her away for Christmas this year. We wrapped presents and watched Love Actually and it was a nice little afternoon we had ourselves. I loved it. I can't believe she's going away though - it's weird thinking that the next time I see her it will be 2011.
I could probably sleep until Christmas, if I wanted to (or let myself). I'm sure it wouldn't be hard, given how tired I am at the moment. There's nothing on TV and I'm not, under any circumstances, going out in the snow either, so I'm in bed. Wonderful.
At least on Thursday I have a proper excuse to get dressed up a bit, because we're going on a festive group outing to The Gate for a meal. I am dying to get out of the house and actually do something so I have that to look forward to, which means I get to see Connor before Christmas too.

I'm slacking.
I'm slacking off on this blog business. In my defence, I have had a lot to do, and Christmas shopping is killing me slowly. Also, I've been gallivanting in Yorkshire with a few teachers and my best friends, writing to our hearts content. Maybe not some as much as others.
I have since discovered that I am not, under any circumstances, a country girl. I am a city girl, born and bred, and the moors of Yorkshire did not cut it for me. Newcastle will always be in my heart. I was dying to get home. True to form, as soon as I did eventually get home, I was dying to go back to Yorkshire. The only thing I really detested was the lack of Christmas there! There was no tinsel, no trees, no nothing. It upset me to the highest degree. I even went into the tiny village of Hepton Stall (I swear the graveyard was twice the size of the village, because once you settled there, you never fucking left). Anyway, there was no Christmas decoration anywhere.
I made sure I took my Santa decoration, and he sat pride of place on the chest next to my bed. I was up in the attic so everyone took advantage of the fact my room was the hottest and sat for hours in my bedroom. Lovely to have company but murder when I wanted to sleep.
None of that matters though, because I am home, and after a nice shopping trip with Layla (she bought me some new M.A.C make-up!) I am tucked up in bed with Harry Potter and a cup of tea. Misfits Christmas Special is on at ten, so I really am getting spoilt today.
